University of Rostock

Björn Corzilius is professor for physical chemistry with focus on solid-state NMR spectroscopy at the University of Rostock, Germany. He studied Chemistry at the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany. He received his Diploma in 2005 and Ph.D. in 2008 under supervision of Prof. Klaus-Peter Dinse, studying the electronic properties of carbon nanomaterials by EPR spectroscopy. In 2009 he joined the group of Prof. Robert G. Griffin at the Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory (MIT) where he investigated DNP mechanisms and developed new methods for biomolecular applications. In 2013, he became Emmy Noether research group leader at the Goethe University Frankfurt/Main, Germany, before he was appointed at his current affiliation in 2019.
