Diploma in Physics from ETH Zürich (1999).

Dr. sc. from ETH Zürich (2004). Worked with Kurt Wüthrich on protein structure determination by NMR, in particular of the membrane protein OmpX.

Postdoc at UC Berkeley / Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (2004-2006). Worked with Alex Pines on NMR and MR imaging in the gas phase and in solution, and using hyperpolarized Xenon.

Faculty in Chemistry at Texas A&M University; Assistant Professor (2006-2012); Associate Professor (2012-2016); Professor (2016-current). Investigating protein structure, interactions, reaction mechanisms, polymers, catalysis, fast chemical change and dynamics, by NMR with nuclear spin hyperpolarization.
