Dimitrios Sakellariou

Dimitrios Sakellariou was born in Athens, Greece, in 1974. He received the B.S. degree in Chemistry and Physics from the Ecole Normale Supérieur de Lyon, France, in 1997, the M.S. degree in nuclear and particle physics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon-1, France, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in nuclear magnetic resonance from the the Ecole Normale Supérieur de Lyon, France, in 2001.
From 2001 to 2004, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA. From 2004 to 2017, he was Principal Investigator at the Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique in Saclay, France. He is currently a Professor of magnetic resonance at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. His research has been concerned with methodology and instrumentation developments of magnetic resonance and its applications in bioscience engineering.
