Sigrid Milles
Leibniz-FMP Berlin
Sigrid Milles' group is interested in studying intrinsically disordered proteins, their conformational dynamics and interactions by integrated NMR and single molecule fluorescence spectroscopy. Since her PhD in single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany (2009-2013), Sigrid Milles has been working to understand the biophysical principles governing the behaviour and function of these intricate proteins. In 2014, she started a post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute de Biologie Structurale (IBS) in Grenoble, France, where she studied intrinsically disordered regions by NMR spectroscopy. She was recruited as a researcher by the French national centre for scientific research (CNRS) in 2017 and leads an independent, ERC-funded, team since 2019. In Mai 2022, she moved to the Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) in Berlin, where she leads the Junior group ‘Integrated Structural Dynamics’.
